Master's Thesis MOBILITY, EXPECTATIONS OF COMPANIES
This master's thesis provides a glimpse into the fast-evolving world of mobile technology and maybe even faster evolving world of organizations.
Mobility is developing faster and faster as enterprises slowly begin recognizing its benefits, not only as a profitability improvement tool but also as a game changer for organizations that are interacting very frequently with their customers/partners and helping them retain their competitive advantages.The premise of this research is seeing technology as basis for supporting new ways of interactions between people and technologies, through responding to user needs, hence leaning on the tradition of human-computer interaction.This thesis aims at understanding the potential of mobile technologies, reasons for mobility, and evaluates the benefits of integration of these new technologies into the company.The research comprised of an extensive literature review, observation of existing practices, and semi-structured interviews geared toward understanding of new forms of communities and their technology, as well as toward understanding the strategic impact of mobility on organizations and its employees. During our research we will try to analyze the potential of mobile technologies, reasons for mobility, and evaluates the benefits of integration of these new technologies into the company. We will present a semi-structured case study of SAP Mobility Software Solutions implementation in leading French company.
